I like how when everyone praised the display, everyone on toms hardware was like "ITS SAMSUNGS DISPLAY!!!!!" and then when there are reports of yellow ones they all say "HAHA NOT SO NICE NOW ARE YOU APPLE?" it's like, pick one side or the other to be on, you can't play both fields. You people will find any way to pick at apple.

Yea, I noticed that as well. Then they comment on it like it is the norm when in reality there are very few people with the issue compared to the amount actually sold since release. Apple will replace them and those users will be fine.

Apple is the most amazing company. So large, better than Google and Microsoft will ever hope to become, and they're still offering these replacement iPads for a revolutionary, magical product. iPhone 4 still going strong and there will never be another device that could ever compare

So you click on the image above and it opens a new page with the image in exactly the same size, then you click on it again to open a new window that's not resized to the image size at all just to see a big picture, then you have to close the new window, go back on the browser just to finish reading the story. Is Tom's web designer from 1995?
Tom's must be doing a pretty balanced job, as they are always being slated as pro-apple or in this case pro-samsung.
The article is reasonable imo, as apple pitch themselves as a company that produces beautiful and flawless products. Though i'm not surprised, they've sold what over 3 million of them some where bound to be defective, that's life and i bet QC slipped as the supply chain would have been under a big pressure to get the product out for release day.

Give it a couple weeks and the issue will resolve itself, these issues pop up most launches for Apple products then are never heard of again until the next launch. What is probably happening in all these launches is the LCD bonding resin isn't 100% evaporated yet, due to the pressure to make so much volume in such a short time, in a couple weeks these yellow tints go away in most cases.
Obviously some percentage simply have bad panels that are miss-calibrated, and we mainly hear from the people who get these displays so it seems like a bigger issue than it really is. If we still are hearing of lots of cases of this tinge, then we know something is really up; but until then it's just typical launch issues that need to be ironed out.

This is an Apple and Samsung problem. There should be some better type of quality control. I had this same problem on my iPad 2, but exchanged due to lines on the screen. haven't got my iPad 3 from my work yet, but I hope Apple is letting people exchange them without any problems if the yellow tint is that bad.

This is exactly what happened when the iPod touch "4" was released. And exactly the same for the iPhone 4 too. But nothing beats lining up to get them as soon as possible, only to get a defective product, am I right? Let's not forget that these "limited edition" batches will worth a lot of money some day! Hold on to them.

This is so so true. If this article was complimentary about the screen, everyone would be saying 'Apple didn't even make it, it's all Samsung'. Now, because it's negative, everyone is jumping all over Apple.
What I say to them is, this is what happens when you get Samsung to manufacturer some of your parts.

Some say it's caused by a small minority of tablet in which the 'glue' in the screens is not dry yet, and that it settles down as you use the device for a few hours. After a quick Google there are loads of people saying they had a yellowish looking screen but that it went away after they used the tablet for a few hours. If it doesn't, you've got a full warranty so just get it replaced.

I'm not a pro-apple... quite the opposite in fact, but let's be honest !
I don't know of any large product launch that hasn't resulted in a few returns. See all the noise about the "antennagate" while in fact, my HTC sensation drops 90% of the wifi speed if I put my fingers at the wrong place, over the top of the phone ... eventhough I have a silicon cover wrapped around it! Why this happens makes sense to me so I accept this "limitation".
All products suffer from flaws if you look hard enough and what's acceptable to some may become a drama to others (and especially for the press).
The big problem here is that Apple products are so overrated that people get quiclky angry when they find out that their pricey istuff is in fact subject to glitches (and the laws of physics) just like any other product. Revolutionary doesn't mean magical ;-)
