Something funky going on with my cpu

welp, i installed windows updates put my computer off (or so i thought) and woke up with it randomly going on and off. Didnt notice anything different until i started my favourite game (csgo) and had a huge fps drop (from 300 to around 20) few hours later i notice that the clocks of my cpu (i5-4690K) have dropped to 800MHz from the standard 3.5GHz and i cant seem to find a way to make it go normal again. It works perfectly fine in safe mode but not when launched with active directory. Need help!

Did this affect your other games as well?
If not, probably, the new CSGO update is responsible .

yes update is responsible for the problem
try to restore your windows
your windows has no need to update
