Sonos connect control volume on your AV receiver

Getting ready to buy Sonos amp or soonest connect for my AV receiver but not sure because I don't know if you can control the volume on the receiver

You cannot control the AV receiver volume control from inside the Sonos app. You can just leave the receiver volume at where you usually use it and then use the Sonos app to control the volume of the signal that the Connect sends to it. If the receiver has it's own control app you can use that to set it and then use the Sonos app from there on.
