Sony BDP-BX2, How to unlock?

Just bought a new Sony Blu-ray player from cosco and was wondering if anyone has unlocked the region code?

well let me tell you if you make anything to play some other region code like a crack or such, warranty will be null, the one year warranty will not cover that

also the players as far as I know with the sony branded ones you can not do that, they come lock for the copyright things and the DRM things (also another way to say copyright)

Region 1 for DVD's
Region 1 or A for Bluray Disc

The only Blu-Ray player I'm aware of that's multi-region out of the box for Blu-Rays is the cheap Chinese one that I got from Walmart a while back; I believe other multi-region Blu-Ray players require either firmware or hardware hacks.

Or did you mean the DVD region code? There are a number of Blu-Ray players which do have 'secret' remote codes to make DVD playback multi-region.
