if you out to buy a similar lens for your dslr, it would cost around $1000 (zeiss it is! ), now it sounds good ?

With 24mm-200mm range, I doubt this lens (alone) would cost more than $500. Since the quality of these super-zoom is no where near the quality of Zeiss SLR lenses.
