The original amplifier that came with the stereo component system (SEN-311) uses two flat remote control cords for connections to the tuner and tape deck (a single connection for the tuner and a dual connection for the tape deck). The manual calls this a "system control". Standard connections are used for other components (CD player, phono and video).
I would prefer the replacement amplifier have these same features.
Are there new amplifiers availabe with these remote control cord connection? The system was purchased in 1992 for $792.
