Sony panel replacement improvements?

Hi there,
I purchased a Sony X85B about 4 years ago. The panel is broken, and Sony is sending a replacement panel to the repair shop. (Im guessing this wont be the same panel in stock from 4 years ago)

Any chance a new panel will improve the picture quality or give me HDR, or is that just wishful thinking?

Most likely it will be the exact same panel. An upgrade panel would require virtually a new TV to go with it.
I'm amazed you could get a replacement panel at all.
