Sony vaio complete format

Hello,
i would like to format my vaio laptop, but dont have any software to put any of the files back on. Problem i have is a mate of mine fromatted it once but used a Toshiba software disk and now hardly anying works ie my HD any of the buttons to work the volume on the laptop and the font and resulutions are messed up. What to do thanks.

Your best bet may be to get in touch with with Sony Support.

I think pressing F10 or Alt-F10 while booting will bring up the Vaio recovery software. Try that and see if it will load the original operating system. If that doesn't work I recommend contacting Sony for a recovery disk.
