Sony vaio laptop

My laptop wont stay on. When it comes on it will run for like a minute or so maximum then completely shuts down. Had carried it by a tech guy but he told me he did everything to his knowledge but still cant get it fix. NEED HELP PLEASE

What exactly did this tech guy do to try to fix it? Does it shut down when on wall power? Did you try a new power brick? Running it without a battery at all? Try a different battery? New motherboard?
