I have been using Sony Vegas 12 for about a week now and now im ready to render my teaser video. Its about 5 minutes long, 720p 59.9fps. My GPU is Nvidia GeForce GTX 780, CPU i7- 4770 3.4GHz, 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD. I don't understand why its taking me over 2 hours to render a 5 minute video. I have tried multiple things from Youtube and other forums, but no good results. Please help!

The video properties say its a .veg file. im not even sure what VEG is. Im using Windows8.1 and i want to view it in windows movie player (whatever its called) and also email it some people.

Template: Youtube render settings. (.mp4 .avc)

Frame size: HD 720p (1280x720)
Profile: High
Frame rate: 29.97
Field Order: none
Pixel Aspect ratio: 1.0
Max. (bps):10,000,000
Averege (bps): 8,000,000
Encoding mode: Render using CUDA

Template: 6.7 Mbps HD 1080-25p Video (.wmv)

Default settings

.VEG is a Vegas project file.
There are two things you might want to look at and the first is the template you are using.
The first template looks fine. The second template could be a problem as the video was recorded at 59.9 fps and yet the template setting indicate you are trying to encode at 25p (.wmv). Is there a .wmv template that will allow you to choose a frame rate of 29.97? Have you tried using "CPU only" to see if it makes a difference in the amount of time it takes to render?
I posted links to helpful sites regarding rendering settings in this thread.

ok im changing it to 25.00 fps (PAL) on the template for .mwv, it doesnt give me an option fr CPU only. im guessing it only runs that way on the template.

i had to change the format of the project to 1080p. the template im using is 8 Mps HD 1080-30p (did change it to 25.0(PAL)) Video.

Mode: CBR
image size: 1920x1080
fps: 25.000(PAL)
Video Smoothness: 90 (sharpest)

I'm very new to this forum and i really appreciate you helping with this. I do not see the links you posted?

try using GPU acceleration, and stop rendering in WMV.. it takes the longest time to upload a video in WMV - try MP4!
let me know if this helps at all, if not then type your complete computer specs and i will find a solution!
