I would go with the Onkyo,
Not as sexy looking but because the sub is self powered and the receiver is a real component (with more flexibility than the Sony) you will be able to upgrade any part of the system in the future too.
The floor stand speakers might also be harder to place in a small room.

I also would go the onkyo. Active sub and you can always upgrade the speakers later and keep the receiver. Its a proper hi-fi receiver always going to be better than an all-in-1 type system like the sony.
