Sound bar has optical, TV doesn't

Hello all,

Please help! I bought an LG sound bar but it only has an optical cable and my TV doesn't have an optical plug. Is there an adapter or converter or something easy I can buy to make it work? Please see model numbers below:

LG LAS454B 2.1ch wireless sound bar

Seiki TV, model SE46FY10

Your soundbar has an ordinary 3.5mm audio input, as indicated here. If your TV has headphones jack, a simple 3.5mm audio cable will do the job.

I don't think it does, can you please check the audio outputs here and advise?

In the manual, Page 8, and Page 14, there is "Port In: Portable Input". This should allow for connection of ordinary audio (eg from your phone).
On the link for the TV, it reads:

1 x composite video input ( RCA phono ) 1 x VGA input ( 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) ) 1 x component video input ( RCA phono x 3 ) 3 x HDMI input ( 19 pin HDMI Type A ) 1 x digital audio output (coaxial) ( RCA phono ) 1 x audio output

Use a 3.5mm-to-3.5mm cable to connect the output of the TV to the input on the sound bar.
