Sound card compatible with GA-B75M-D3V ?

Hey guys,

I'm planning on getting GA-B75M-D3V due to it's low price and I also plan on buying a dedicated sound card for sound editing (and maybe in the future, advanced stuff too).

If there are other mother boards which are more recommended I'd love to know and check their prices here.
(I'm also planning on getting a dedicated video card and I'm not sure if there's going to be room for all of that in the board)

Check out M-Audio's cards and audio kits. They have anything from regular audio output cards, to full editing boards and suites.

Yeah I've googled a bit and I think I'm probably going to get myself an external board.
How do does external audio boards connect to the PC?

Depends, if you get a professional kit, they connect directly to an internal PCI, or PCI Express card. Consumer, or amateur kits usually connect USB.

Uhmm, so professional kits come with the actual PCI card?
Otherwise what kind of PCI card am I supposed to have to support the kit?

Yes, some do, but it really depends on what you actually intend to do. If you're going to be remixing sound files, a USB unit will work fine. If you are recording live music, with multiple tracks and layers, you'll want something with more bandwidth to get the maximum fidelity.
