Sound disappeared on Gateway NV55S

Initially, I thought this was a Windows 10 issue, but after following the Microsoft steps, the problem sill exists. No audio.

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by uninstalling/reinstalling the sound card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Realtek sound driver.
- Once uninstalled download and installed the Sound driver from Gateway support site.

- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do test it again and see if the same problem will persist or not.
- Your last option would be to reinstall Windows if all these will not work.
