Sound in cds

Hello,
when i download songs from internet and write in cds r dvds i cant play that songs in 5.1 channel surrounding system,what should i do if i want to listen the songs in surround system in 5.1 channel speakers
plzzz help me regarding this

when you wrote to a DVD, CD, what format are you writing it with?
Is it MP3, audio CD?
Your surround system may not play all formats. Find out what format it plays, then burn the CD in that format.
