Sound on HPNotebookLaptop

I have an hp notebook that the sound is so bad, I can't hear it. I have a pair of sony speakers that I have connected to the computer, but the sound and volume still suck. What can I do?

Try updating the audio drivers. If it's always been low, could just be weak speakers or an issue with the system hardware. Is it low even with the external speakers? Did you check the volume settings in Windows and whatever program you are using?

Get better and louder speakers.
Get a USB DAC so that you can bypass all the audio in the laptop.
If the music files or stream has lousy sound then better gear won't fix that.
