sound reactive cathode and sound card

does anyone else have this? it works pretty good but I want to activate the lights to everytime the bass hits more easily, should I open up the mic module and remove the mic and place it into my subwoofer?

Also I have just purchased and installed an asus xonar essence stx sound card and I wanted to know are there any modifications or tweaks I need to make in order to get the best sound quality? at this point I just plugged and played it, do I need to adjust the ohms of impedance for my speakers?

Years ago I had a few noise-activated CC tubes and my 80mm fans were loud enough to make them flicker constantly. If your machine is quiet enough and your sound is loud enough, I would imagine that they would react well to the bass from within the PC.

Also, the Xonar has a replaceable chip for sound. Depending on your audio needs, you might want to consider replacing it with something in this kit: http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16800998157
