Hey guys!

So, I have a HTPC for all my media needs with my TV. And I'm planning on upgrading my sound system. I was thinking about getting this: http://amzn.to/1cz3LVx

Would there be any point to me getting a soundcard for my HTPC with that?

Also, is that even a good choice? Would an actual surround sound speaker setup be better? Not looking to spend more than £250.

Thanks!

for a soundbar? unless your onboard audio sucks i dont think you need an upgrade. soundbars are typically either 3.5mm, rca or optical and most motherboards have optical and all with onboard have 3.5mm (which can be converted to rca) so connecting up shouldnt be a problem.
