Space bar not working properly when typing (Asus laptop)

My space bar does not always create a space between words.I have to push it multiple times before it moves

Make sure nothing is stuck under it, maybe remove it and re-seat it.

Thank you for your response. Confirm that nothing is under it, and that it's press down functionality is normal. But the space between words does not always follow the corresponding action of pressing it.
