Now I got what erly_Cuylers trying to point out.

tennisplayer01, I was under the impression you are trying to connect an amplifier to your motherboard’s SPDIF, and then connect your headphone to the amp. But it won’t work if you are trying to connect your headphone to the combined TRS and optical socket on your motherboard. The socket my look like the one your headphone have but the signal that comes out of it is (red light) digital if you sellect SPDIF on the setting. Your headphone needs an analog signal.
