Speaker extremely quiet and pops if I put the sound all the way up.

I have an ASUS VE248H. First off,No I didn't buy a monitor for a speaker that's just silly.I tried doing a bit of researching, but the web is full of people who couldnt even figure out how to turn the volume up.

So my question is it supposed to sound like the equivalent of an ear bud on loud behind my monitor, or is it broken? Keep in mind I got it through amazon.

I would say your description is probably how they sound given they have to be really tiny and the 1w power is in real life more like half that or less. With any audio with bass they would be awfully useless.
