Speaker wont play, but work in test

Pretty sure I connected all the cords right, to my desktop i/o panel. The produce sounds when i 'test' them in the control panel, but other than that they wont play anything? help please

Try right clicking on the speaker icon on the bottom right -> Playback Devices -> Locate your speakers and right click -> Set as default device.

If that doesn't work, try troubleshooting your audio.
