Speakers Fine, Heaphones Screwed

for some reason one day the sound coming from my headphones, or any headphones, was all muffled and roboty and crap. Can anyone help a brother out?

Sounds like a failing sound port, which isn't uncommon.

Try plugging the headphones into the speakers' headphone ports, if they have them, or into the back of the computer otherwise.
