Spec for spec, will 2 laptops have the same power for productivity and multitasking?

I have a choice of 2 laptops:

1. Notebook HP 14-bp104TX

2,Notebook Lenovo IdeaPad320S-81BN002WTA (Gray)

They both have the same RAM and same CPU, one has SSD and other doesn't but I'll buy an SSD for it.

So 2 laptops:

A. HP, SSD, 4 Gig RAM, i5 8350u, battery 3 * 41w/hr
B. Lenovo, SSD, 4 Gig RAM, i5 8350u, battery 3 * 52w/hr

Will these 2 machines perform roughly the same? Lenovo will have longer battery life right?

I don't play ANY games at all, only for work.

8 gb should suffice for quite a while if your work is not that ram-intensive. If not NVME, which I think is the case, will have similar speed as regular ssd. If you have concerns on ram, get HP then.

Lenovo runs cooler?

Also, the HP SSD is standard from HP, the one for Lenovo I will buy, a WD m.2 , will that be better performance?

Lenovo is cheaper also, my only worry is the 8 gigs of RAM, HP can take 16...

Thanks, so for cinebench, benchmark tests, and real life performance, same thing?

What about HP running hot, might that throttle the CPU and make it run slower?

I just bought an i5 8400 desktop with 16 gigs of RAM and it's not much faster than my old laptop with b950 pentium for most situations, so downgrading to laptop with i5 8250, I think this should be fine;)
