Hello,
I've got an Acer Travelmate 81001. My Problem is that Intel's Speedstep
doesn't work. I can chose between minmum and maximum CPU frequency.
That's all. No dynamic CPU frequency switching, neither on battery nor
on AC. The ePowerManagement-Driver from Acer is installed. I tried to
find an Speedstep-driver in the net, but didn't find one. It should be
included in Windows XP. The little tool "Speedswitch XP" isn't working
on my laptop either.
Using Linux everything works fine! Even my old Acer Travelmate 661i was
able to do dynamic CPU frequency switching using Win XP, but why cann't
my new one?????
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Karsten
