Another $10 price hike. Looks like I won't be getting 4g anytime soon. Most of the time, 3g is plenty fast. I'd rather save the $10 a month and forget about 4G. But as flash gets mobilized and the internet matures. We'll all be roped into a $40/month plan.

So regular users of the phone will pay $80+ fees. Those who want to unlock it's full potential will be on the hook for $99 unlimited everything plan +$10 for 4G + $30 for mobile hotspot. $140 a month plus fees and taxes. People are crazy to pay nearly $160 a month for a phone.

[citation][nom]FATAL STR1K3[/nom]why not just buy a netbook for cheaper?[/citation]

You can not put your netbook in your pocket and netbook with 3G/4G connection (usually 90-120 extra) is not really cheaper than this phone (even without the contract)..lol

^I was kinda just exaggersting on the fact that its costing an unreasonable amount of stuff for just a phone. (ok not 'just' a phone, but you get my point, i think).

the 10 dollars is mandatory not an option... and its not to activate the 4g... its to uncap your bandwidth

I think you're a little off. $69.99 for the Unlimited Everything plus a $10 fee for 4G. I dunno where u are getting $160 from.

And the Iphone + ATT tax isnt unreasonable? Sprint already has some of the lowest prices for everything plans. The extra $10 is probably for fees from Clearwire since they are partners and not exclusively owned.

I for one sure don't. You think people should get a poorly featured, small laptop instead of this fully featured phone, which is about $150 cheaper than most smartphones and cheaper than most netbooks with built-in 3G.

I'm trying to work with you to find a point here, can you help me out?

I just feel like spending 450 for a phone is too much. there was nothing wrong back in 'the day' when a phone was used as a phone and is costed the same as lunch..

Can you buy the $450 and use it on Virgins beyond talk $25 unlimited data, text, 300 min talk, prepaid plan?

450$! No way! That's awesome! I'm getting one for sure, im not a fan of data plans.

I dunno where you got your info from, but dude you quoted is correct. That $69.99 is for the 450 mins. Yeah it's unlimited mobile to mobile but 450 to landlines and such. It's $99.99 for unlimited everything. But he said if you wanted everything, which then would add $30 for the hotspot and the extra $10 for 4g.

"Get unlimted Web, texting and calling to every mobile phone in America from the Sprint network with Everything Data plans starting at $69.99/month or Business Advantage/Messaging Data plans starting at %59.99/month, plus a required $10/month Premium Data add-on for the HTC EVO 4G. An optional add-on turns your phone into a mobile hotspot connecting up to 8 devices at 4G speeds for $29.99/month. *Two year Agreement required"

Taken from the email Sprint sent me when I signed up for updates on the Evo4g

I was planning on getting the EVO, but the price hike for 4g and mobile hotspot capability ruin the deal for me.

That's really too bad...

$79.99 for the Evo +4G tax is better than the $100 I pay for my iPhone 3G... So long AT&T!

1) Your practically buying a computer, with Android you can do just about anything you've ever wanted to do, especially with the 1Ghz Snapdragon, and 2) It's only $200 when you buy on contract, which is what most people will likely do.

$10 for 4g is a nonno its not that serious 3g is good enough for GPS and I'll usually be in a WIFI network anyway....

Actually he's not. For $69.99 you only get UNLMT TXT+DATA and 450 anytime minutes. STARTING AT is the keyword. If you add unlimited talk it's really $99.99. I actually called about that because I only have 450mins...I barely talk but figured why not get that unlimited as well since I pay 69 a month. I'm not paying for the mobile hotspot thing..I can care less about sharing my internet.
