I recently purchased a laptop disk drive caddy and have had a lot of trouble getting my laptop to recognize the SSD.
The laptop I am trying to use it with is a HP 15-db0069wm. I believe its disk drive is 9mm. I know the caddy I bought was 9.5mm, however from what I can tell the cd drive and the caddy are exactly the same size.
The SSD does appear to “connect”, when looking in Device Manager is shows something, but labels it a “removable usb” with no size. I did connect the SSD to my desktop pc, and it worked just fine.
It's the same story in disk manager, something shows up, but it's not considerd a storage disk. I'm in win10, tried Ubuntu as well, no dice.
I also tried toggling the little switch on the caddy, but this made no difference.
Thanks for any help you can give
