status of NETV?

Maybe something broke on my 922 but I suddenly lost T5-600 thru 603 a few
weeks back. There's nothing wrong with the dish alignment since I am
receiving video on the other NETV channels and analog on this satellite OK.
So, did they move or do I have some weird problem with my 922?

I am not at home to personally check it, but when I was speaking to
what's her name a few minutes ago on the phone I asked her to check
T5 600. She said it is OK there and I did hear the audio for NETV.

Well, I just got off the phone with Superstar Tech support and they said
that everything looks good on my 4DTV and that I'm on the right satellite
but I still can't get these channels. The strange thing is that I'm getting
611/612/613 so this is a real mstery. I guess I can try another master
reset to be sure but what a hassle that is. They did mention that the
satellite list is NOT suppose to have CA, CB, etc. But, based on what I've
read over the years, that sounds like BS.

That is because it is BS :)

Before doing a master reset go to one of the G0 digital channels, power down
then unplug the receiver for about 10 seconds. After the maps refresh the
receiver may act better.

Well, I did another master (factory) reset and unplugged the receiver for a
couple of minutes. After reprogramming, I still don't get anything on
those channels. I guess I'm going to have to send it in to Motorola or
live without them. I'm getting some of the NETV channels but not all of
them. Strange.

Don't be too quick.

NETV controls when those channels are on.

Back several months ago,I thought something was wrong, because I was only
getting 600-603,whereas before I got everything,so I went through all the
reset process, only to find the higher #s still not back, then later on,there
they were again.

616 and 617 have "...search..." but no loss.

As I say,it appears NETV doesn't have programming on those channels all the
time,but 600-603,etc are always on.

A few months ago the symbol rate changed on the higher channels.
The receivers would not get a lcok on them intil they were remapped.
I suspect when you were havcing a problem getting a lock on those
channels that they were defined at the wrong synbol rate.

Those are the channels I am NOT getting.

BTW, nobody can guarantee their e-mail to be virus-free.

How can I confirm that is the problem and, if so, how do I fix it? Can I fix
it or is it something the satellite provider has to do to fix it?

I checked all those channels today and in my case 600 and up are all
there,except for 616 and 617

The problem a few months ago was on the higher numbered channels (above 610).
You say you are receiving those.

Park your dish on G0 channel 7. Pull the power cord. Count to ten.
Plug it back it. Wait for warm up to end, and hit guide.
Once the guide loads goto T5 and see if it is fixed. If not, return to
G0 7, 13 or 102 do options 6 5, call your provider and say you need a
rehit. Don't hang up until the trip counter moves.

If none of this works, do you get odd and even transponders on all
sats? Peak your dish on digital channels on t5 for the hell of it.

No help there.

Yes, even/odd channels work just fine. All the NETV channels are the same
polarity and I do get some of the NETV channels. I just don't get 600-603
or 616/617. Apparently, I'm already peaked on the digital channels (quality
75 except I get a quality of 1 on the ones I can't get).

I don't get 616\617 either (NETV probably has them turned off. It's happened
before).

600-616 are all fine here.

It must be something to do with your T5 channel maps.
