Stereo or mono sound help..

Ok, So I have the sony xb950bt headphones, And I looked every where online and can't figure out if there stereo or mono. Now I use a jack that's 1/4 inch to my receiver and people say it can make your headphones sound bad, When using a stereo 1/4 inch jack if your headphones are mono. Now it sounds pretty clear even though almost every song has more bass in my right ear. So I seriously don't know what to do..

Mono sound means every sound is played the same from both headphone drivers. There's pretty much no mono headsets anymore because there's no benefit to having a mono headset, because if mono sound is desired it's as simple as having the sound volume be the same for both stereo audio channels.
