Damn at least here he looks like he had 1 meal in the last 30 days as opposed to some other recent photo's of him.

Imagine if he and google got together and opened up on their colony's then how much sales would there actually be and actual working non broken glass iPhones ?

Both Jobs and Google is reacting like North Korea and Iran / fools and time they drop the ego trips the are all on.

Then maybe they would be able to sell to more than their 300milion people ie: sell to 7 billion people and actually start making money.

The day people actually stop being lazy to learn new things is the day Apple devices will be nothing...[citation][nom]zoemayne[/nom]thats too much of an opinion to read for me Wolfgang![/citation]
What's the matter, went against your STRONG belief that Jobs actually has horns instead of a halo???

Again, a good article in my opinion. I like you Wolfgang.

Seems Jobs is overreacting, and responding in a non-business orientated manner. If I were Google now I'd be dancing in glee.

[citation][nom]K2N hater[/nom]I'm not going to defend Apple but look around. There's IBM, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Oracle, Intel (and the list goes on). Are they much different than Apple?[/citation]

No they are not any different and I do not buy from them either, I build my own systems like most here do. Also I do not own a laptop, tablet or a smart phone so I can safely say that I do not use Foxconn products, perhaps some components on some of the products I buy are made by Foxconn but not any complete products.

You make a very good reference to the comment Jobs made a long time ago about the PC. If you consider the historical position that Apple and Microsoft were in clawing tooth and nail for market position back in the day, and now you take a look at android as an OS making good head way in the mobile arena, I think you can see pretty easily where his frustration comes from.

If android starts talking to gaming companies and Autodesk, I think you could see a huge shift from Microsoft to android, in the home and professional environments. After all Google already has Google Docs. You bring it all together with Search, Youtube, Sketchup, Earth, Picasa, Talk, Reader and Mail you would have one rip roaring open source OS(like linux for dummies). I would buy it!

[citation][nom]skatt3rbrain[/nom]No products mentioned in this article can play Crysis so I don't care.[/citation]

I dont care who you are, That Is Funny

[citation][nom]TEAMSWITCHER[/nom] Until other manufacturers care as much, Apple will keep winning mind/market share.[/citation]

Please tell me I read that one wrong :)

I see two possibilities:
1. Steve simply feels like a God (or more like a Kanye West type of God) and any person in that situation can easily loose it.
2. There is more to it then we know.

I think its because his company is coming up with these ideas and technology and 3 years later everyone else is copying him and outselling him.

face it, the Android is because the Iphone came first
Widgets in Windows vista is because OSX tiger had it first
tablet computers because Ipad had it first

Pretty much a lot of things we see in OSes and multitouch screens and PC design was because the mac used it first.

You sir...are ill-informed.

Again, why do people who have no clue...always post things?

5 years ago, I would not have thought that anyone on Tom's could hate a company more than Microsoft. Every time Microsoft was mentioned it was spelled "Micro$oft" or "M$FT". No one took Apple seriously enough to waste the time to post about them. How things have changed. I see MSFT mentioned with affection, as if referring to an old buddy.

But on topic, I see the future of mobile OS's going very similarly to the past of PC OS's. Remember when the Apple IIe seemed like the most popular PC in the world? (some of you probably won't) Apple was an innovative leader in the PC market with their closed platforms up until a realistic and cost effective choice was given to the market.

Eventually, I think that the most successful mobile platform will be the one that gives people the most options in features, capability, and price points. (I am pretty sure the Google shares this view)

I haven't seen a WinMob7 phone yet, but I have high hopes for it. I mostly hope that it will indeed compete with Android in a meaningful way, giving us competition in features and price points from two companies willing and able to compete on a (mostly) level playing field.

I think Apple may have cut itself short by not offering to license iOS to any other phone vendors, and this will eventually make the iPhone irrelevant.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I do have an iPhone now, although my next phone will almost certainly be running Android, or possibly WinMob7 if it is any good. Not that I hate Apple (although you couldn't pay me to use a Mac), it's just that I see other platforms evolving faster.

Even though I like some of Apple's products. I am no fan of Steve Jobs. This guy could not be more self serving if he tried. His spin of numbers is amazing. He can brag up a computer and in six month can say that one is crap and you should buy this new one. But, people buy into his BS and especially in America he seems to know how to take advantage of people's buying weaknesses.
