straight talk service improvement

I have a fairly poor signal at my home. When I ordered my phone I gave Straight Talk my zip code and they sent me an AT&T network compatible phone. When I travel to my father's home I get no signal whatsoever. He gets four bars on his Verizon phone. Can I switch the service to Verizon while continuing to stay with my iPhone and Straight Talk plan?

No you can't, you'll need a Verizon compatible phone and activate that.
