Greetings,

I need help with my MSI GT70 Dominator, the problem started first when I was already pissed when I installed something from windows 10 automatic update that keeps my laptop from crashing, it was about page_fault_nonpage_area, and since i wasn't able to uninstall the update since it doesn't last a minute before it could crash. I decided to restore my laptop through recovery to factory by erasing everything. But after that, during the preparing boot, it crashed and got me stuck to recovery until to the point I'm stuck in the Aptio setup utility.

Please help.

Try the following and see if it resolves the problem.

1. In the Aptio Setup Utility, select the "boot" menu and then select "Launch CSM" and change it to "enable".

2. Next select the "Security" menu and then select "secure Boot Control" and change to "disable".

3. Now select "Save & Exit" and press "yes".

4. Once you have done this, hold down the "power" button until the laptop turns off completely.

5. Now you want to power it back on and continually press the "F9" button for about ten seconds or until you are taken to the "Windows Recovery Menu".

6. In here select "Advanced Start Up" and then, once the recovery menu appears, select "Advance Options".

7. Choose "System Restore" and select a date prior to when the problem started.

The computer should now go through the restore process and then start normally for you.

Hi

1. I don't have CSM if, I'm running my boot mode as UEFI only, unless I change it into UEFI wit CSM

Then the security won't have the option to Secure Boot Menu, unless I revert it back to only UEFI, the secure boot menu will appear again.
