I CURRENTLY HAVE A STUCK SHIFT KEY AND I NEED TO KNOW HOW DISABLE IT(PERIOD) I HAVE AN ACER NETBOOK(COMMA) YES I KNOW (COMMA) HORRIBLE CHOICE TO BEGIN WITH (PERIOD)

ANYBODY THAT CAN TELL ME HOW TO DISABLE ONE KEY {THE SHIFT KEY} I WILL BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL

I CURRENTLY HAVE SEVEN INTERNET WINDOWS OPEN BECAUSE THE SHIFT KEY IN CONJUNCTION WITH CLICKING ON A LINK OPENS A LINK IN A NEW WINDOW (PERIOD)

Cool it on the caps. Try removing the key itself, as it should just pop off without out much effort and see if things are clogged up with dirt, etc... below it. If so, clean it off and put the key back on.

How did you get a , instead of a < if your shift key is stuck?

If it is still under warranty, return it.

just had this problem (the shift key gets lots of use lol) and yea, al it took was removal of the key and then i got a q tip and cleaned the dust and grime out of the key.....my keyboard is a gateway (yea i know, same boat as op, junk product lol, but it does what i need) and its not a 'standard' keyboard, every key has it's own "cavity" i guess i'd call it......lol. and ya, be surprised how much dirt can get down there in a year......
