My left shift key on my keyboard is not working properly

I play a lot of video games and i use my shift key to run around and i use it alot and now for some reason everytime i hold it for more than 4 seconds and i let go it wont realize i let it go until like 4 seconds later and i tried removing the key and cleaning it, but it doesnt seem to work and i tried to update the drivers for my keyboard but i dont know how to do that, but i did delete the drivers for my keyboard and reinstalled it but it didnt do anything.

Sounds like the problem may be within the keyboard itself then. Damage due to over used. The only fix for that is to either try an external keyboard or replace the attached one.
