I have a new Pioneer AVR and an older powered Polk subwoofer. The AVR has a single RCA Pre-Out connecction, the sub has line in white/red connection as well as 4 black/red speaker connection. Can i assume that all i need to do it get a cable that is single rca on one end and split red/white on the other to make this work? Thank you.

Solution
You can use a single cable with RCA at both ends. At the sub using one of the two RCA inputs (if one is labeled LFE or mono use that one). Set the frequency control all the way up and the volume control about midway. Use the receiver to control these settings.
