Surround sound amplifier, does it amp headphones?

Probably a stupid question but I am interested to know if i plug my hd650's into my surround sound amplifier will the surround sound amp be amping the headphones or do I need a separate headphone amplifier still?

If it has a headphone jack (most HT receivers do), no, you don't need anything else.
