T-Mobile Sees Overwhelming Demand for G1

Can anyone speak with authority as to whether or not the service plan will be less than the iphone for unlimited talk/text/mms/web?

I imagine it will be, but the phone itself is only $20 cheaper so I'm wondering about the service plan costs here. (and admittedly...I don't care enough to research the total costs for myself if someone else has already waded through the crap and knows :)

$25 per month gets you unlimited 3g data with Google Talk, email, mapping, Youtube etc. but you get only 400 text/mms messages. The cost of voice is whatever plan you have now.

$35 per month gets you unlimited data and text/mms

FYI: I verified that if you're on a family plan with the $19.99 unlimited text/mms messaging it will work for the G1 phone, so you only need to buy the $25 plan.

Hope this helps...Adam

"only 400 text/mms" Heck I only use 5-6 a month, I hate texting, so impersonal (and expensive). And it costs the provider more if you actually call anyway :)

Does anybody know if the G1 will work with the hotspot@home service?

the information i have been provided shows that the G1 is UMA capable....meaning that it will work with the hotspot@home service.
