I have a 1975 era Teac 360S Cassette deck. At the time of mfg it was a medium level deck. Now, when the power button is pressed, everything lights up as it should, except the red record light also lights up. The record button is does not appear to have any spring attached as do the other buttons and there is no tension when pressing it. When I depress any other button, there is a 10-15 second delay and a click sound but nothing happens.
I have a few cassette tapes to digitize and was hoping to use the Teac. Is there a repair manual that would take me through the diagnosis steps? I anticipate the drive belts need replacing and wondering if there are any sources.
Once that is done, I'll try repairing my Akai reel to reel.
