I have a Nikon D5300. I'm shopping for a lens to be able to shoot long range football photos at night under the light and be able to shoot semi-long range indoors under lights for volleyball.
What is your budget? Both of those activities want a "fast" lens, but fast telephoto lenses are expensive. A 200mm F2.8 is a good choice, but they run around $1000 ....
