Text Messaging Icon Missing

Hi, need help please. I am using a HTC One. I don't see a text message icon. I can read messages when one comes in but when I closed it, I don't know where to find it. I need to go to my phone book and choose the name of the one I am texting before I can send a message.

Any app I can use? I was using APUS Launcher but too heavy for my phone so I uninstalled it. Your help on this will be much appreciated.

It may not be on your homescreen; you may have to go into the app draw to find it.

It's usually just called 'Messaging'.
