I have a hp laptop since 2003. Sudenly the booting stops at winxp start logo for ever.
Iwant to save some files but If it is dificult i want simply to use it even if i lost old files

try going into safe mode and then save your files if it wont go into safe mode you have problems if you can go into safe mode do a check disk then reboot and let it do a check if this is the first time its gone rong since you have had this in 2003 do a reinstall you will find that it will run faster and you will get rid of all the rubish you have collected over the years

Even if Windows won't boot, your files are safe. It's not a difficult task to take the hard disk out of the machine, plug it into another machine, and copy the files you want over.

Else, you can use safemode, and you should run checkdisk, as bry stated. If you're really not set on reinstalling Windows, you can repair your current installation using the repair utility on a standard XP disc.
