I need to remove/backup files on local hard disc C. There is only 3% of space on this hard drive.
I I have a Dell E10 Dimension PC and a Dell monitor. I am attempting to transfer files to a 128GB
USB 3.0 flash drive to free up space on the local C hard drive, bot now the monitor screen is black.
Please assist. Also I am a beginner and not too familiar with troubleshooting this

I am a but confused. So you are in the process of transferring files, and your screen goes black? Perhaps it's the screen saver?

Is the monitor getting a signal, or not? (You can usually determine this by either an on screen display that says no signal, or the light on the monitor will change from it's usual "powered on" color, often green, to a standby color, usually orange.)
