the mouse and touch screen on my acer 5 laptop is not working

I turned my acer 5 laptop on and now I can't use the mouse and the touch screen is also not working dose anyone know how to fix this

Need more info.

If you ctrl+alt+del does it do anything?
What operating system are you using?
When you say the mouse isn't working, have you only tried the touchpad?
Do you have a USB mouse you can try?
Does it seem like your whole computer is frozen?
