THE THUMBNAIL DOES NOT MATCH THE PICTURES IT IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT.

Here is my problem (and it’s driving me nuts!!!)

1. I load my pictures from my camera to Windows XP My pictures folder.
2. I go through the pictures and want to rearrange them to flow better.
3. Therefore I renamed some pictures using the original filename format that my camera named my pics. (e.g. PICT ####)
4. THE ISSUE: after I rename the photos, the thumbnails turn into pics of the old photo that was named that filename, and not into what the actual picture is. THE THUMBNAIL DOES NOT MATCH THE PICTURES IT IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT.

For example, I rename PICT 0601 to PICT 0603, and PICT 0603 into PICT 0601. The thumbnail for PICT 0601 is PICT 0603, and the thumbnail for PICT 0603 is PICT 0601, even though when you open the pictures they are what they should be.
