There are only lines and no numbers to represent what dpi it is ? How am i meant to know what dpi each line represents ?

Where are you looking these "Pointer options"?

On a side note - mice' DPI is mouse hardware function, not software (unless you're using some fancy mouse with its own software). For example, one of my mice has a button to switch DPI, and Windows has no idea that this button has been pressed.
