ThinkPad e580 HDD Upgrade Ribbon

I am looking to buy an e580 with this config:

CORE I5-8250U

SSD 256GB

RAM 8GB

I want to add an Hdd to have slow but big storage.

I checked the Hardware Maintenance and it seems that i need a ribbon to connect the hdd

Anyone knows if this ribbon is included on the version without the hdd?

It turns out that the model without HDD comes with a dummy and it's ribbon!

Did you just add a HDD to this laptop? I just ordered the same laptop, same specs, and was wondering if I could just add another driver for storage of pictures, etc...

Yes, it comes with a ribbon to connect to a standard SATA 2.5" storage device.
In my case I end up adding a 1TB 2.5" hdd for storing large files.
