This laptop has 4gb or 16gb ram?

Hello everyone! I'm new here and this is my first thread. I've been reading the forums here for quite some time, so I decided to post my question here.

It's a Lenovo Z710. Note that the description says "RAM Size 4096 MB" and the "Item model number" is 59396864

But I wasn't so sure about this description and I did some digging.

"RAM 2x 8GB, PC3-12800 1600Mhz, DDR3L, SODIMM
Memory installed 16GB"

Then I also found that the same model on the german amazon is advertised as a laptop that has 16gb ram but again scrolling down I found that the description says "RAM Size 4096 MB": http/www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00FBGI4Z6/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers

So what is going on? Should I trust the data sheet that it has 16gb of ram, or the amazon's description? Note that I'm talking about a specific model number so, is I don't think it's possible that some sell it with 4gb and others with 16gb of ram, amirite?

I am also new here.
I think you should go with the 4GB, which is the size that has already been put in for you.
16GB is the maximum memory installed.

Yup, already did. The thing is that I already checked with customer service and they told me to go with what the description says. But then why that data sheet i found says 16 gb of ram? Both the amazon's description and this data sheet are about the Lenovo z710 with model number 59396864 (you can check it), so there's only one laptop in the world with that specific number, that has a specific size of ram. Which is either 4 or 16gb. I have a hunch that the description on amazon is misleading and it really has 16gb as the sheet suggests. Is it possible that this is the case?

Yes, that could be the case. Order it and return it if you find out it does not have the 16GB as you think it does; the price to me suggests that it is indeed 16GB of RAM.

I think I'll go with that. The description on amazon doesn't look very legit, compared to other sources I found about the same model. So yeah I'm gonna try that.

buddy,amazon is legit.please read the posts trying to help you.you might also try doing some of the work for yourself.the info i came up with took about 3 min. with google.

yeah i did my research and bought this model. i received it today and thankfully i was right and it does have 16 gb of ram
