Hello,
I am tiring to connect a digital cable box, a pc tuner, and a modem all off one wall jack. The main line outside is only spit two ways. I have connected a four way signal booster after the wall jack, passive return. This setup worked for a week. The last week it has been dropping signals and when it works it is working at 15% capacity. Comcast is coming Monday to try and fix the issue, but I have little confidence.
First, is my setup fine?
Is there a better way?
I would like to connect all three, because I use my computer as a DVR and would like to have my ps3 and
computer hardwired to reduce data transfer loss. In addition, comcast has told me that I can not use a signal booster inside
my house. I can only use it outside. Is this true. If the main line only goes to one wall jack, why would it be important to have splitter outside versus inside? I do have a two way splitter outside
Any help would be appreciated.
