Solved! Toshiba DLP 46HM95

I have a 4 year old Toshiba 46HM95 DLP TV.When powering up, there is a light fan sound, less than usual, but no picture and no other sound. The red light stays on and the green light flashes 16 times and the unit turns off then powers back on. What could this be?

Your color wheel is clapped out. The part is not directly replaceable - they seal it in the light engine and won't sell spares. A rebuilt engine for this set will probably run you between 230 and 270 USD. Replacing it is a cinch if you can get another engine for it.
