toshiba L755 series BIOS upgrade

I'm addicted to the keyboard layout of the Toshiba L755 series.

However, I'd like to expand beyond the stock 8gb of ram limitation.

Is there a BIOS upgrade or other "fix" that will enable the machines (I have 2 s53560 and 1 s5350 laptops) to operate on more than 8gb?

Any BIOS updates you would find on Toshiba's support site for your model laptops. Some models do accept and work past what the official RAM specs say they will. But you don't really need more than 8 GB of RAM especially for 5 year old laptops. You are better off getting solid state drives from them if you are using platter drives.
